The OPTICEPT® LO Series (Controlled Environment Pulsed Electric Field Treatment) is an advanced PEF system engineered specifically for the olive oil processing industry. Designed to optimize extraction and enhance quality, this cutting-edge technology provides significant advantages to producers. Furthermore, our range of models is tailored to meet varying production capacities, ensuring the most efficient and effective treatment for every operation.
The OPTICEPT® LO7 HC is a PEF system specifically designed for larger olive oil production lines.
It is a complete system of modular design, built in a stainless steel frame with product-wetted parts in a hygienic design, all with food-grade components.
The system consists of the latest powerful PEF generator – CEPT® v7, supervised by a PLC system, and the booster unit module with all control and safety devices mounted on it, including pressure and temperature sensors as well as flowmeter and conductivity indicators. The PEF generator module is cooled by an external chiller delivered with the LO7.
The fully automated pre-treatment system is operated via a Siemens-based PLC system that logs sensory data and other important information about the treatment.
The system is prepared for customer-based start/ stop signals or complete integration into the parent PLC system. In effect, it is a very user-friendly application, with an intelligent HMI that can handle pre-programmed recipes tailored to fit the specific application.
Additionally, the system is integrated into the production line after the crusher and before the malaxation stage

The OPTICEPT® LO6 consists of one CEPT® v6 PEF generator and one booster unit cabinet with a mounted booster unit. Before and after the booster unit, are sensors mounted for pressure and temperature logging.
This gives valuable information to the pretreatment process and adds safety with the logging of pressure drop over the narrowing that is the booster unit. The sensors allow for control of the operation to only be active when there is a flow in the system.
